Christmas Ornaments

As some of you know, I am obssessed by the Twilight saga by Stephenie Myer. I made these Christmas ornaments featuring the 2 stars of the movie, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
The ornaments were easy to make. I bought the empty glass balls at Michaels and then filled them with some confetti and that paper confetti. Then I printed of some pictured and sqeezed them inside the balls. Next I hot glued the top on and wrapped some black ribbon around the tops to hide some of the hot glue. The I topped it off with some white ribbon. The pictues aren't great, but you get the general idea.

The empty ornaments are great for making gifts or to add something special and unique to your tree.

Sorry it has been awhile since we have posted. Katie and I are both very busy getting ready for the Holidays.
Here is a great, easy gift that I have recently done. It is are darling lunchbox or craft box or whatever you want to use it for. I bought the blank lunchbox at Michaels and then took some paper and stickers and went to town. I mod podge the paper onto the lunchbox, then added glitter mod podge over it, added some ribbon on the handles and there you have it.

Scrapbook Explosion Box

Explosion box when the top is off 3 layers to put pictures

I love these boxes. This is a box, that when you take the top off, it has places for your to put your pictures and embellishments.

I made this one to list on in our Etsy store, so check it out. I have left it plain to be so you can be able to do your own decorating.

They make great gifts!

Tutorial Tuesday

I love Martha Stewart and all of her ideas! I look at her blog daily at the Craft of the Day ideas. For this Tutorial Tuesday, I got the idea from Martha Stewart's website. It's called the Reversible Purse. Click here to get the tutorial. I did watch the video and watch them make the bag on her show. It actually helped to get a visual! So here is the bag that I made! The next one that I make, I want to make it really big, like diaper bag size. And I also started making a little one for my little girl with princess fabric!
Ta Da! My finished little purse, that I really love :)

Halloween Parade!

This post was originally made for the SITS Halloween Parade, but now I am converting it to my Talk to Me Tuesday Tip Junkie Halloween Show and Tell Post (long enough title for ya?!)

So on Tip Junkie today for Talk to Me Tuesday, Laurie asked to show off our Halloween stuff. I don't really have Halloween stuff, just two cute girls in some cute costumes. My oldest girl, she changed her mind five different times. We did have a family theme picked out, but then she crushed that idea when she decided to be Belle :) We were going to do Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (old school version of course). The girls were going to be Ompa Lompas, my husband was going to be Willy Wonka, and I think I was going to be Violet (still not sure).

Here are a few of my Halloween pictures. We had a great Halloween and my littlest one, has discovered the joy of sugar :)

Sisterly Love to Laymon's Terms

I know, I know...it makes it very confusing when changing sites, we are very sorry! But, we are crafting so much more than just cards that we felt like we needed a new name.

Out with Sisterly Love Card Co and in with

Crafting in Laymon's Terms

We love our new name! We really think a blog name makes the blog itself so much more enjoyable. Oh and so you are in on the inside joke with the new name...Laymon is our maiden name. And "Laymon" is pronounced Lay-men not Lay-mon...get it right ;)

And like I said on the Sisterly Love Card Co site...giveaway and awesome new products coming on Monday so come back for all the fun!!

We would love to get your feedback on what you think about the change!
